Job Description
Based in Perth, ATOM is seeking an experienced HSSE & Operational Excellence Advisor to support safe, reliable and compliant operations across our terminal network.
Reporting to the Head of HSE, Governance & Risk, this role provides hands-on support in implementing and maintaining HSSE and operational systems in line with risk, compliance and assurance requirements. You will work closely with terminals, contractors and leaders across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
Manage the ATOM Permit to Work process
Support personal safety and injury prevention initiatives
Assist with contractor and supplier HSSEQ management
Deliver and support HSSE training and competency requirements
Support Return to Work and health monitoring programs
Assist sites with hazard identification, risk management and action close-out
Support terminals in dealings with HSSE regulators
Conduct audits, incident investigations and reporting
Support development and review of HSSEQ procedures and systems
Coach and influence teams on safe work practices and risk mitigation
Support sites across multiple locations including interstate
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Relevant HSSE qualifications and minimum 5 years' experience managing HSSE in hazardous industries
Knowledge of bulk fuel terminals or similar operational environments
Strong understanding of HSSE legislation and compliance
Experience with incident investigations and risk assessments
Good understanding of Permit to Work
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
